Mary, the Mother of Jesus, has many namesakes, and none is more appropriate at this time than Mary, Mother of the Earth. She reminds us to be keepers and protectors of our beautiful planet. We are to be nurturers of all living things and responsible parents to our child, the earth. Then, as now, the sun and moon can shine down on God's creation forever.
