Prizm Incorporated

Can I receive a Prizm inc catalog if I am not a retail store owner?

Catalogs and promotional materials are available through this web site for both the consumer and retailer.

Why does Prizm discontinue items?

Specialty collectibles, such as limited editions, have a predetermined number of pieces produced. When the set number of pieces are created, the product molds are destroyed. Therefore no more pieces of that design are produced. This is a standard practice with limited figurines and can add to the value of the piece. Prizm inc. continues to introduce new designs and products each year with introductions in January and June. In order to offer new looks and a variety of products Prizm inc. may choose to carry some items for only a year.

How can I find discontinued or sold out pieces?

Please email Prizm and we will forward your request to a network of retail stores, who deal in the secondary market.

I've contacted the stores on your web site and none of them have the item that I am looking for, can you help me?

You can ask one of the listed retailers to special order the item for you. You may also order through this web site. Your order will be fulfilled by one of Prizm Partnership Program dealers.

I have a defective Prizm inc. item. What should I do?

If it was purchased through a store, we encourage you to contact that store and work with their refund/return policies. If you purchased the item through this site or another source, please contact us for assistance.

Can I get replacement pieces for items that have been broken or lost?

Please contact a store near you that carries our product. They can order available replacement parts and boxes for you. You can also simply give us a call at 888-427-4752 and if we have that particular item we can fill your request. Replacement parts are charged at a minimal fee.

How do I determine that value of my collection? How are prices for limited edition figurines established on the secondary market?

Each piece sold has a suggested retail price that is honored at the store when it is first purchased. This is the initial value of the piece. If the store receives a higher price for the piece or a consumer sells the piece to another consumer at a higher price, this becomes the secondary market value. We are in the process of working with Collector’s Information Bureau to assist consumers with our market values. Information is not available at this time.

Does a factory flaw affect the selling price of a piece?

As in most things, "visual perfection" is preferred. Usually, factory flaws are not a problem unless they are very pronounced. That's why it is extremely important to inspect each piece before you buy it. In fact, we feel that if you have a figurine with a flaw, you have a unique, rare, "one of a kind" piece. The value of this type of piece is only determined by what someone else will pay for it. Also, keep in mind that resin figurines are hand painted and each will differ by a small degree.

How important is it to save the original box?

Boxes are very important and the absence of an original box will often result in a lower selling price if you ever choose to sell your collection. Manufactures design the boxes for the best possible protection for the piece during shipment and for storage.

Does the presence of an artist's signature on a piece increase its value?

The presence of a signature is important. In some cases the value of a signed piece may be 15%-25% higher than a comparable, unsigned piece, when being sold. Factors that impact the value of a signature include:
• Age of the artist: Artists who are reaching the end of their career may be doing fewer signings, making a signed piece more valuable to many collectors.
• Accessibility of an artist: Signature from an artist that rarely makes themselves available for signings are often more coveted and therefore adds to the value of a signed piece.
• Buyer's preference: More and more artists are taking to the road for personal appearances. These events give the collector the chance to share a personal experience with the artist. Some collectors prefer to buy unsigned pieces because they plan to have the artist sign the pieces for them personally at the event.
